The Case for Cursive

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

As the art of handwriting becomes endangered, this workshop will compare Dr. Montessori’s determinations of its basic principles and value to current research and the debate about teaching cursive. The progression of writing, the benefits of handwriting, cursive, and the introduction of typing will be explored. You’ll leave with fully rationalized, complete lessons and instructions for teacher-made materials that will enable your students to write fluidly, naturally, and comfortably in cursive.
